Profile
I am a computer nerd. I absolutely love writing programs and I am currently enrolled in the University of Oklahoma as a Computer Science major. I am a great team worker and I love working in small groups of people. I have social skills above and beyond most computer nerds, or even most people. I consider myself a very good designer (my father is very artistic) and I have a very real interest in UI design. I have a PowerBook running OS X and I love leveraging the UNIX underpinnings. Some would say, including me, that I am a power user.
Experience

Software Engineer, University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK    2005  - Present
I’ve joined a small team of engineers working on an autonomous rover. This project is for research purposes and is funded by Malin Space Science Systems. The project is headed by Dr. Miller, an instructor and former JPL employee. The robot’s brain is a Mac mini and my job entails writing software to get information about the rover’s position and display it on a client computer. This software is also able to control the rover if tele-operation is needed. All of this software is written in Objective-C with some of the rover’s instruction code written in LISP.

IT guy, University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK    2004 - Present
Responsibilities include updating and troubleshooting Windows and Mac computers for the entire college of Arts and Sciences. I work with a team of other students and we work extremely well together. I have become very good friends with all of them.

Freelance Computer Consultant, Norman, OK    2002 - Present
For the past couple years I have helped anyone that wants me to with any computer problem they come across. Sometimes, I have to send them to the ‘professionals’, but most of the time I am able to help. I have also done some freelance work for Norman High School, helping with their Newspaper and Yearbook computers (mostly Macs, but some PCs).

Co-Creator/CEO, Positron Software, Norman, OK    2000 - Present
I started making software as soon as I learned how. It was only natural for me to put it online for other people to experience. Positron Software was started with Nick Wadleigh (wadleigh@princeton.edu) and it served as a place for me to make my programs available to users around the world. Nick served for 4 years as CFO and was later joined by Ashiq Zaman (ashiqzaman@ou.edu) who helped with the web design and markup. Throughout my tenure at Positron, I have remained the chief (and only) programmer.
